Select the client (company)
Go to 'Employees' tab
Click 'Turn on payroll'

- Starter plan, free for up to 5 employees, is valid till 31st July 2016 & available to new QuickBooks customers only.
- QuickBooks payroll, powered by Paybooks, is free for the first thirty (30) days of the payroll subscription. Trial customers continue free payroll service for 30 days until trial expires or 30 days after payroll activation, whichever comes first. After your 30 day period expires, you will be able to continue the Starter plan – if you’ve originally opted for it - or be charged a minimum billing for 10 active employees – if you’ve opted for the Regular plan. Payment for the first time is to be made at least 3 months in advance and thereafter you have the option to make monthly payment, in advance. Active employees are determined at months end. Active employees are defined as employees for whom salary / settlement will be processed in the month and includes new employees that began employment within the month. Active employees do not include employees whose exit has been completed in all respects. Optional implementation service for Regular and Premium plans may be availed at an additional fee.
